Meet The Owners

José Luis was born and educated in Almería and studied at the School of Engineering in Madrid and at the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his B.S. degree in industrial engineering.
 
Cristina was born in San Francisco, California. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UC, Berkeley and her Ph.D. from Stanford University. She taught as Professor of Medieval Literature at UC, Irvine and at the University of Notre Dame.
 
Married over 50 years, parents of three children and grandparents of seven amazing grandchildren, now retired, they divide their time between living in the US and visiting Almería, where they enjoy their family, the wonderful weather, the relaxing lifestyle, and spectacular food.
 
They are thrilled to share their home with you and hope you experience the beauty, joy, and Mediterranean magic of Almería, Spain.

The beach is just below and full of coves so you can swim in clear water with the fish . . .  100% recommended and worth repeat stays.

The apartment is fantastic – it has all the amenities, with air conditioning in all bedrooms and living room. The beach is a beautiful cove, a 5-minute walk away.  The apartment has extraordinary views, the town is 10 minutes away by car, the beach is outstanding and provides access to people with limited mobility, and there are places to rent jet skis and to go scuba diving. We have been delighted and recommend this rental 100%.

When you enter, it’s as if you already know the apartment because it’s exactly like the photos, which is appreciated – an apartment where you feel right at home. You have everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom as well as in the bedrooms. The views of the sea are marvelous.  Bright and clean. Close to Almería  and Aguadulce.

The apartment is simply spectacular! Few places like this remain on the Andalusian coast. It is a privilege to be close to the sea, in a super quiet area, free from mass tourism, with only fishermen passing by. An idyllic beach at the foot of the apartment (a 2-minute walk) and other more populated beaches 5-10 minutes away by car in Almería or Aguadulce, for those guests seeking a more festive ambience . . .  Recommended not 100% but rather 200%. It was a shame we had so little time, it is worth spending more days here.
